The Seattle Seahawks staged a stunning comeback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, securing their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a sixteen-point deficit in the final period, the Seattle squad triumphed by a single point at home, registering their fifth straight win.

While the Rams had become the first to earn a post-season berth earlier on game day, the Seahawks booked their return to the postseason after a two-year absence.

With this outcome, the Seattle have taken over their division's standings with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Rams, who fell to the fifth seed with an 11-4 record.

Signal-caller Sam Darnold had two interceptions but recovered to make two scoring throws, including the tying TD to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for Seattle.

Rams defensive back Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's initial interception for a big return, setting up a one-yard score by Blake Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua pushed the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Shaheed provided the hope with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then connected with Barner in the endzone, and a converted two-point play sent the contest into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua raced in for his another TD in OT, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to setup the game-winning score.
