Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Claims Involving Wide Receiver Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement Wednesday night stating they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a ex-partner of wide receiver Rashee Rice and had been in contact with the NFL.
The organization did not mention Rice by name in their statement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who also did not mention the athlete by name, posted a set of images on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. She stated the person involved was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.
Player's Recent Off-Field Troubles
The receiver missed the first six games of this season due to an NFL suspension for his role in causing a crash on a Dallas highway that left multiple people injured. He was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to felony charges.
Statistically, he finished the season with 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns as the Chiefs went 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
