One-Punch Man Its Third Season Is Moving Forward (By 2027)

Truly the most shocking revelation, the much-discussed controversial season that was the third season of One-Punch Man proved insufficient to deter further production. The show will come back with a subsequent part in 2027—a date so remote they could have called it season 4. Even more shocking, animation studio J.C. Staff will still be at the helm. Thankfully this time, helmer Shinpei Nagai is on board to direct from the outset, which could be taken as a good sign. However, the promotional image for the new episodes is the same image the one used for season 3, just with protagonists Saitama and Garou facing different directions. This suggests that, at this point, they are probably trolling the fans.

The Ruri Dragon Series Will Be the Premiere Shonen Jump Anime Produced By Kyoto Animation

Kyoto Animation has built a reputation for being an top-tier animation studio, making its mark not just for the high caliber of its productions but for the good working conditions of its employees—a rarity in the industry. Surprisingly, until now, it had not adapted an anime stemming from a manga serialized in Shonen Jump, perhaps the most famous magazine in the industry. Ruri Dragon will change that, and what a great choice it is. The manga by Masaoki Shindo achieved a huge following when it first appeared in 2022 after just a handful of installments, but then went into a extended pause due to the author's health issues. When it returned with a lighter schedule, the series proved it still retained the fans' support and positive sentiment, and now everyone is ecstatic about the upcoming KyoAni adaptation.

Kingdom is the best-selling, decades-spanning Shueisha manga that is not One Piece. If you've are unfamiliar with it before, it's because it only recently got an English localization, but the anime has been going on for a while, and its sixth season was another stellar entry. As it happens that was just the first cour, because a "sequel" has been announced as in development, and it will almost certainly air in 2026.

One more studio famous for the superior craftsmanship of its productions, Science Saru has brought us hit shows of the caliber of Space Dandy, Devilman Crybaby, and, most recently, Dandadan. This time, the studio will be taking on the adaptation of Tomato Soup's manga A Witch's Life in Mongol, based on the true story of Fatima, an powerful woman and intellectual in the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. From the trailer, the anime titled Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia will have a distinctly fresh and intriguing visual style, which evokes Ranking of Kings. Set to premiere in July 2026, this one will definitely be on my list of anticipated shows.
